Who are we?

We are a nonprofit organization focusing on the needs of the blind and visually impaired citizens of the area. We seek to educate the public about vision loss and to share our experiences.

Where can you join us?

Regular meetings are held the second Saturday of each month at:

Akron Blind Center
325 E. Market Street
Akron, OH 44304

Why join us?

Adjusting to vision loss is not easy. However it is not something to be feared or ashamed of. It is helpful to be with people who have experienced or are experiencing the loss. Life does go on following the loss of vision and so does the enjoyment of all the things life has to offer.

You do not have to be blind or visually impaired to be a part of Eye on Summit. Several of our members are fully sighted. Meetings are open to all—you need not be a Summit County resident to attend.
